I read in Craft Stamper January edition by Ann Jones that you can use paper instead of inkjet film to produce negatives for text stamps. Do you have any specific recommendations for weight and type of paper? Is general 80gsm copier paper OK or do you need to use something better? I guess it needs to be thin. What do you use?
I also note on ImagePac's website that they now supply what they describe as 'thin paper' with their kits. I assume this can be used for all types of stamp instead of using the inkjet film. Has anyone tried it? It is much cheaper than the inkjet film...
Thanks
Tim

Re: Using paper for negatives
Hi Tim..
Thankyou for your post.
Yes.. it is correct that you can indeed use paper for your stamp making with the Imagepac.. preferably the thinner the better.. although remember you are going to be laying down a lot of ink to make the negative..
I have used 80gm paper with the Imagepac and it gave a great stamp and indeed can be used in place of the negative film.. the only thing that I would suggest is if you are making extremely detailed or photographic stamps.. that you use the negative film instead..
If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask..
